Gift Wrapping with Washi Tape.

(cakies)

I made my first washi tape purchase in Tokyo back in 2009, slightly before they became so popular they were everything anyone talked about in regards to DIY packaging. Two years on, they are now pretty much indispensable and at the same time very accessible for something that used to be available only in Japan.

We purchased a small lot of Taiwanese-designed washi paper tape in June and I’ve been really inspired to use them more than I usually do. Actually, I’ve still got quite a stash left from my Tokyo purchase!

Floral Inspiration.

My mother is rather surprised at how much floral prints are dominating my wardrobe because she is so sure that I expressively abhorred anything to do with flowers in my teenage years. I can’t tell you when I started to fall in love with modern and vintage floral prints alike but I can tell you that once you fall, there’s certainly no going back.
