    Had a nice dinner.

Parasailing in Bali / Part III.

Negative0-07-07(1)3

Three of my friends went parasailing while two of us waited and so we did have a lot of time on our hands to take repetitive photographs. After I finished the previous roll, I realized I only had some black and white film left to load into my Superheadz UWS. Truth be told I was really looking forward to see how these would turned out – they kind of look like they were from a long time ago, when people only had black and white film to use, don’t you think?

Parasailing in Bali / Part I.

Negative0-35-35(1)

We went to the other part of Nusa Dua on our second last day, the part where all the sea sports and haggling happens. My friends went parasailing and I stayed behind so I could take photographs and I took A BUNCH of photographs so it was pretty worth it. I hope you’ll be ready for the onslaught of blue skies and those pretty parachutes, this is only Part I.

Film Guide Updates.

Although I haven’t been buying any new cameras lately (which is a good thing, sort of?), I’ve had the chance to try a number of new films, some of which I’ve only used once so far but will add them to the Film Guide as soon as I use a couple more rolls of each.

There are two, however – Solution VX 200 and Konica Centuria Super 400 – which I used a few times consecutively because of the really fun results I’ve been getting. The Konica film, especially, even got me digging back to super old photographs I took with it, like the one above, back when the film wasn’t even expired yet! Both films are in the Film Guide now.

Spring is coming right at us with a little bit of summer, almost everyday the weather beckons for me to go outside with my camera! We had a wonderful short vacation at Orchid Island (蘭嶼) in the middle of April and I hope to share those photographs with you soon. In the mean time, here are some of my favorite traveling posts this month:

– luxaeterna: Kramp Coffee Store, Okinawa, Japan
– olive and oak: Sydney, Australia
– for the easily distracted…: Salts Mill, Saltaire
– Greg Girard: Kowloon Walled City, Hong Kong via Shooting Film

P.S. That’s a photograph of me at Garuda Wisnu Kencana in Bali taken by my friend, it makes me miss being in Bali so much!
