Ever since the new year began, weather’s been dreary. It is difficult to get out of bed and all I want is to snuggle and read a good book. The last one I read was Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín, who writes in the most gracefully manner. I’ll be bringing it back to the library tomorrow and hopefully come back with an equally lovely one. On a similar note, here is a list of recommendations by Samantha Shorey (of ashore) and her friends - I enjoy her blog immensely and High Fidelity by Nick Hornby is one my all-time favorites so, yes, I would give all those other four books a go.

I came across a couple of posts on the 12 things on 12/12/12 theme and thought that I might join in the fun to post a dozen pictures that would otherwise probably never see the light of day on this blog. Some are really, really old and a few are very recent – like the last picture, for example. I recently tried Lomography’s Lady Grey B&W 400 and X-Pro Chrome 100 and fell in love so hard!
