– spent seven hours over two days in a class learning how to make an embroidered gamaguchi purse
– bought six kinds of instant ramen and three kinds of chilli sauce from Singapore and Malaysia
– visited four new cafes :)

– turned thirty!
– went to the gym eight times
– finished and developed two rolls of film, one of which is black and white
– moved into our new three-bedroom apartment, one of which we rent to four girls studying Mandarin in the university just across the street
– sold three single beds, three mattresses
– bought one double bed, one stove, one microwave oven, one side table, one shoe bench, one printer, two shelves
– won one-thousand and five hundred Taiwan dollars from a scratchcard my partner’s mother gave me for my birthday!
– booked our summer trip to Japan in July and we’ll be staying in three hotels and one Airbnb apartment!

Belle Époque / 美好年代.

Many of the reviews I read online mentioned that you’ll need a reservation or risk queuing for a long time at Belle Époque (美好年代). I guess the upside of visiting cafes alone on a weekday is that you never really need to wait because it takes a very small space to sit one person. I ordered an iced chocolate designed to look like a potted plant, which is all the rage these days.
