Lanyang Museum and the Beach in Yilan.

We had a free day on a Wednesday and decided on an impromptu trip to Yilan and spend the morning in the beautiful Lanyang Museum, then the afternoon eating fresh seafood at the market right beside it. Neither happened because we were too assumptious to check the museum’s day off (tragically on Wednesdays) nor did we expect the seafood market to have a day off (tragically on Wednesdays too).

We took a walk to the nearby beach which kind of saved the day because that is what beaches do.

    1. Yes, indeed! The architecture is designed by a very famous Taiwanese architect, Kris Yao, who has designed several other buildings in similar style. Very impressive!

  1. it’s stunning!

once, while on holidays we took a ferry beetween 2 countries to see a famous castle… only to find out it was closed, because it was a monday! :)

    1. Hahaha, I didn’t react very well psychologically at that time, I assure you, but it was definitely essential to make the best out of it! :D
