The Weekend List / 27.

I’m a huge fan of toi’s (and her friend Vix’s) Film Friday series, they pick many films I’ve watched and love; and many more that I haven’t and hope to watch soon. I never actually keep track of the films I watch but I made it a point to make some notes in June so that I can share with you the films I watched in the past month:

American Hustle
The Internship
Her
The Lifeguard
Neighbors
– The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Any film that I sit through is pretty much good in my books – I don’t have high expectations when it comes to movies, it’s all about being entertained, even if on different levels. What are some films you have watched recently?

  1. I haven’t seen any of these. Is there any of them that you recommend me in particular?
At the moment I cannot think of any good film I have watched recently.
If you’re a fan of Wes Anderson, I’m sure you’ve seen The Grandbudapest Hotel already, haven’t you?

    1. Like the others have said, Her is very good! It’s a thoughtful story and in some ways it has made me feel very helpless as a human being but I think one of our greatest problems is that we think we can do anything.. :)

Actually, I haven’t had the chance to watch The Grand Budapest Hotel but will get to it soon!

  2. The Neighbors look pretty interesting if Zac Efron is on it! Haha. You shoud watch Miracle in Cell No. 7. It’s a tearjerker Korean movie I saw recently. I heard it won some awards, but I’m not planning on watching it again. I cried buckets because of that movie! :)

    1. Hahaha, it’s a feel-good movie, the kind that you sit back and expect to be completely entertained! Zac Efron is so hot :D

I have been suggested several times by different people to watch Miracle in Cell No. 7! Will definitely have to add it to my list. :)

  3. i watched the Internship last week, ahaha <3 laughed so much!

i saw Her in February and it was such an important film for me for the time it was seen and what happened before and after in my life, amazing one,i felt so sad and touched by it…
i also saw Confessions of a Shopaholic,21 jump Street,That awkward moment and i think maybe a dozen more comedies – i need hard to laugh and to direct my energy to laughter is way more healthy than being anxious ahah
I recommend The pretty one :) mande me smile and was so sweet!

    1. I love both of your suggestions, The Pretty One and The Awkward Moment… totally films that I will enjoy watching! I watch A LOT of romantic comedies, they are just so stress-free and candy for the eyes! :)
