Funny signs for a happy April Fools’! And in case you missed it, the second one is the sign for a book store called The Libratory, a clever play on its Chinese counterpart 公冊 (gōng cè), of which the characters ‘公’ means public and ‘冊’ means book – they characters are pronounced the same way as 公廁, which is the public lavatory, hence The Libratory! I was highly amused and appreciative, it is rare to find clever or accurate shop names in English to brag about in Taiwan!

  1. Hahaha I think it fits quite well with the other signs, especially the 肝膽胃腸科 one next to it. I’m assuming the area has other health clinics? Very clever!
