I did not remember that I had a roll of redscaled film in the camera when I decided to bring it to the supermarket on a whim. The film, to be honest, would not be my first choice if I had planned to take pictures of the supermarket but of course, not everything has to have a plan because how else can you be surprised?
One of the things I love about documenting everyday life with film is that results are not instant and so the process becomes a discovery of memories. The simple of act of perusing the pictures after they get developed and looking at the details you chose to include and then those you didn’t even realize you did include… it is such good medicine for the curious heart.
