We visited Taichung over the long weekend back in February and my friends decided to make the trip to a private plot of cherry trees that was kindly made public by the owner for the first time this year. I must admit that I was not terribly excited at the prospect because, really, Taiwanese cherry blossoms are a far cry from those in Japan or Korea. It didn’t help that the weather was awfully cold and rainy for central Taiwan during that particular weekend, making the 1.5-hour trek uphill really frustrating. However, I’m still grateful that we went and that I packed Lomography CN 800 for the overcast weather, the place was definitely much darker than my photographs let on.
