We visited the Taipei World Design Expo at Songshan Cultural & Creative Park (beautiful baroque architecture which used to be a tobacco factory) about two weeks ago. Despite the queues, I had a lot of fun browsing; free entry was definitely a huge plus point. There were many different themes on exhibition: interior design, industrial design, graphic design, craft design, as well as a special focus on the works of Taiwanese designers.
I didn’t think I was going to take more than the two pictures above on my Golden Half because it really doesn’t work well in low-light and indoor situations but I’m so glad I did take the ones below. The first three are beautifully designed light fixtures on exhibit and the last one outside a boiler-room-turned-theater.
