It is now one week into the terrible disaster that came upon Japan on Mar 11 2011. For many of us who follow the news, I’m sure we are both humbled by Mother Nature and full of respect for the vigilance in the Japanese people. There is so much information on what we can do to help, even information on whether we should be so eager to offer our help at this point but really, what matters is that Japan is going to need help, now or later.
We have managed to raise a small amount of USD100 (donated to Global Giving) with a few sales of our Help Japan zipper pouches. In conjunction with Jo’s blog, I am also participating in the Japan Quake Appeal in our small efforts to raise more money.

Every USD5 donation entitles you to one raffle ticket (Global Giving requires a minimum donation of USD10).
- After you have made your donation, please come back and leave a comment on this post with the amount you have donated, your receipt number and your email address.
- You may enter as many times as you like but each time you need a new receipt number.
- The raffle will close at mid-day Japan time 26th March and the winner will be drawn at random and contacted by email.
- The raffle is in no way affiliated with Global Giving, it’s just our chosen method of getting funds safely to the affected area.
